New marble market to come up in Maloya, Chandigarh
The Chandigarh UT administration has decided to set up a new marble market in Maloya by shifting the existing one in Dhanas, Sarangpur.
The Dhanas market has been termed a violation of provisions of The Punjab New Capital (Periphery) Control Act, 1952.
As part of the move, 191 plots of 1 kanal each with a basement plus three floors will be allotted. All of these 191 plots will be allotted through an e-auction.
Existing professionals and businesses in the marble market will be given the first opportunity to make the online bids.
The revamped plan includes designated parking facilities, public utilities, commercial area and green spaces.
