Farewell address by outgoing FIGSI President Sri Ishwinder Singh

Outgoing FIGSI President Sri Ishwinder Singh speaks from his heart during his farewell address on January 7, 2024.

Sri Ishwinder Singh served two consecutive terms as FIGSI President and helmed the Federation very effectively at a time with global challenges such as the Covid pandemic.

Sri Ishwinder Singh's tenure was marked with increase in momentum of FIGSI initiatives for the stone sector, greater CSR and social contributions and the stronger recognition of brand FIGSI at regional, national and global levels.

In these momentous tasks, the President was ably supported by a talented and dedicated Executive Committee.

Taking bold decisions and building on a long-term strategy, a key and game-changing initiative that Sri Ishwinder Singh continues to champion is the upgradation of human capital and skill development across the entire value-chain of the industry.

Two skill centres - one in Jaipur that has begun operations - and another that is coming up in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, along with many other initiatives form a key part of the legacy of Sri Ishwinder Singh as FIGSI President, as he continues his work with dedication in his capacity as one of the most experienced business leader in the Indian stone industry today.

All office bearers and members of the Federation and stone community express their gratitude for the exemplary service, leadership and inspiration that Sri Ishwinder Singh has continued to provide.
