Industry visits provide practical insights for students at FIGSI's Skill Centre

Students from the FIGSI Centre for Stone Excellence recently went on an industry visit to gain practical lessons and training about stone processing machines as part of FIGSI’s mega skill development initiative.

The batch from the Jaipur branch of FIGSI’s Skill Centre visited a factory unit of FIGSI Executive Committee member Siri Maharaja Granites Pvt Ltd at Jaipur.

FIGSI’s skill centre at Mahindra SEZ, Jaipur is dedicated to upskilling human capital exclusively for the stone industry - the first such integrated institute in the world.

The institute promises to not just provide trained manpower to help Indian and global stone businesses, but it is also empowering a new generation of talented youth with tailored job opportunities.

While having all-round knowledge of the stone industry, trained candidates at the institute specialise in different aspects such as machine operations, stone trade and accounting, digital marketing for stone, monuments processing etc.

With businesses lining up to hire trained manpower from the FIGSI Skill Centre, the number of courses and seats will soon be increased and another skill centre at Hosur, Tamil Nadu is also expected to begin operations soon.
